Availability: Moderately Properties: Hardness: 2345 Janka Table, 82% harder than Northern red oak Durability: Dense and very strong Workability: Sawing: Very good Nailing: good, splits easily Sanding: good with end grain requiring #16 grit paper to cut properly Finishing: No known problems A newly sanded mesquite wood floor on the left, and color change after 1-1/2 years on the right.
